Can't mount remote NFS file system on RHE6 getting error: mount. NFS version or transport protocol is not supported. Hello Team, I am trying to mount a remote filesystem which resides on a Su. Se server. I can mount the filesystem from other Su. Se servers which have the NFS package at the same level. Experts Exchange > Questions > mount bypass portmap Want to Advertise. The NFS package on my RHE server is later than the Su. Se NFS server. I am getting the error listed below which I got regardless on how I use the mount command. An extensive good search basically suggest to use the option proto=udp, which I did with the same bad result. Apparently there is a know issue which should already be fixed, according to some of the post I found. But, as you can see, nothing works for me. I can ping and ssh to the remote NFS server.
